FOLLOW TEA HOUSE
In October 2017, Follow Tea House was established on the 1st Floor of Life Café at Jalan Padungan to create and spread awareness about the culture of Chinese Tea Art Ceremony or Gong Fu Cha in Kuching, Sarawak. The objective is to promote the many health benefits of Chinese tea drinking and its positive effects on overall wellness of mind and body.
Gong Fu Cha, meaning “tea with skill”, is the traditional culture of Chinese tea brewing and drinking. The tea ceremony is a popular social activity in China with thousands of years of history since the Song and Tang Dynasties. It is considered an art form, from the type and quality of tea leaves to its fragrance, flavour, tea preparation, brewing, presentation, drinking and savouring of a fine tea.
Experience and enjoy Gong Fu Cha at Follow Tea House with its range of house tea (bi luo chun, jasmine, long jing, pu’er, tie guan yin, da hong pao); specialty tea (chrysanthemum pu’er, french rose, ginger, mulberry leaf, fruit); and premium tea (yue chen yue xiang, jing mai pu’er, lao shou mei).

Health Benefits of Chinese Tea
Long Jing
One of China’s most famous organic green tea, Long Jing or “Dragon’s Well” has a slightly sweet, fresh aromatic flavour and is considered to have a cooling effect. With high content of minerals and amino acids, Long Jing helps in weight loss and reduces skin damage such as wrinkles, spots or blemishes.

Harvested from the mulberry tree with its origins in Asia, the mulberry leaf tea is known for its wide range of health benefits. The antioxidants help to reduce bad cholesterol and strenghten the immune system. Other medicinal benefits include clearing fevers, headaches, sore throats, coughs and red, painful and watery eyes.
